From the web app

• Click on the profile picture in the top right corner of the page
• Click on the settings link
• Find the click on the Password tab
• Enter your current and new password and click save changes

From the mobile app

• Open the app and click the menu icon in the top right corner.
• Click on Settings and go to Security  in the list.
• Click on the Change Password option
• Enter your current and new password and click Change Password button

2-Step verification also known as two-factor verification is a way to help secure your account if your password is stolen or compromised.

Turn on 2-step verification on the web app:

• Click on the profile picture in the top right corner of the web page
• Click on the settings link
• Find and click on the Settings tab and go to Security
• Click on the On/Off button under Enable 2-Step Verification

Turn on 2-step verification on the mobile app:

• Open the app and click the menu icon in the top right corner.
• Click on Settings and go to Security  in the list.
• Click on the switch button next to Enable 2-Step Verification

This feature sends a secret to your email account used on your FlixMe account for you to verify.

2-step verification requires that you have access to your email account. Just like with your password, if you don't have access to the email account that is used on your FlixMe account, you will lose access to your FlixMe account.

In order to reset your forgotten password, your registered email needs to be valid. 

1. Open the app and on the login screen click on the Forgot Password link. Or from the web app, click on Log In then Forgot Password.
2. Enter the email address you used to join FlixMe and click on Forgot Password button.
3. Once you receive the forgot password email, click on the link inside the email to change your password. If you don't receive the email, check your junk/spam folders and mark email as not spam if located there. 
4. Change your password once the link opens the change password screen.

For FlixMe videos, you should use the highest resolutions possible. 

• File format. MP4 (Recommended), MOV, M4V and MPEG
• Codec. The MP4 video files should be a H.264 file container and an AAC-LC audio codec with recommended audio bitrate of 128kbs or higher.
• Aspect ratio. FlixMe's standard aspect ratio is 16:9. Our players and platform is designed for wide-screen formats. 
• Frame rate. We recommend using either 24, 25 or 30 fps (frames per second) when filming or in post-production.
• Video resolution.  As a general guide, videos should be a minimum 720p resolution. The higher the video resolution, the larger the files, and the longer it will take to upload them. For the average creators, the recommended size is 1080p resolution, which is considered HD video. You can also encode for 2k or 4k resolution however but it might not be worth the effort. A large portion of people watch videos on their phones, and on such small screens, the difference between 1080p and 4K is undectable.

For FlixMe audio, you should use the best quality / bitrate possible.

• File format mp3, m4a, wav, aac
• Bitrate minimum 64 kbps recommended 128 kbps or higher. 

FlixMe supports both video and audio file formats. This flexibility allows creators of different types to use the least amount of effort while producing content. You don't have to spend time converting your audio to a video and it will still be playable on FlixMe.

This feature is especially helpful for podcasters, musicians and other audio creators. 

Supported audio formats are mp3, m4a, wav, aac.

Note: Do not upload content you do not own or have permission to post. e.g. Songs by artists or anyone else's copyrighted content.

On the media pages you will see 3 buttons that you can choose from. FlixMe provides the ability to Love, Like or Dislike media. These options help to recommend or not recommend other media for you. It also helps the creator to understand the reactions from their audience.
